Monkey King Part I - The Land of Ao-lai - The Birth of Monkey
In the ancient land of Ao-lai, on the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit was a magic rock. This rock gave birth to an egg which hatched into a stone monkey. Monkey’s first act was to bow to the four quarters, and as he did so, a steely light beamed from his eyes. The light reached to the Cloud Palace of Heaven’s Jade Emperor who marveled at this new creature, soon to be known as the Monkey King.
